Blackboard (formerly WebCT)

Michigan Tech uses the Blackboard Learning Management System. The WebCT product has been merged with another popular on-line learning product and is now called Blackboard Learning System CE (Campus Edition).

Log-on to Blackboard@ Michigan Tech <courses.mtu.edu>

Blackboard (formerly WebCT) is now in production and all gradable Michigan Tech course sections will automatically be present for all students. Instructors no longer need to fill out a form to request course creation. The student rosters will automatically be populated for all sections about one week before the semester begins.

Access to old WebCT v4 courses

Michigan Tech has transitioned from
Blackboard/WebCT version 4.1 to version 6 and the old version is now decommisioned. Access to version 4.1 has been restricted. IT has exported all courses within this version so that upon request, individual courses can than be imported into the new version. If you have any questions about this process or need access to one of your exported courses, please email courses@mtu.edu
